BILL MCCABE -
DIRECTOR
Bill McCabe is widely recognised as one of Ireland’s
most successful entrepreneurs. He served as Chief Executive Officer
of CBT Systems (later known as the SmartForce Group) from 1991 to
1996 where, after overseeing a successful stock market flotation,
as Chairman he grew the company into the world’s largest interactive
educational software company. Bill was also a Director and Shareholder
of Parthus Technologies (later known as Ceva).
Since stepping down from SmartForce in 2000, Bill
has been involved with a number of companies including his venture
capital business, Oyster Technology Investments. He is also Founder
and Chairman of LNC Properties, which controls an extensive UK property
portfolio, and Oyster Capital, owner of the Bedminster International
bio-energy group and other business interests.
MARTIN SCULLY
- DIRECTOR
Martin Scully is Chief Executive of Oyster Capital Partners, the private investment vehicle established by Bill McCabe.
Martin is responsible for managing a variety of asset classes, primarily
private equity investments in the property, bio-energy and technology
sectors. In this role he works closely with the management teams
of portfolio companies and deals with investment banks and venture
capital groups on their behalf.
Prior to taking up this position with Oyster Capital Partners, Martin
was a partner
with Farrell Grant Sparks, for 12 years, where he had responsibility
for the firm’s tax department, before establishing a unit focusing
on the firm’s financial services to technology sector clients.
KEN MCCULLAGH - DIRECTOR
Ken McCullagh
is the Chief Executive Officer of LNC Property Group, a private company
specialising in property investment throughout the UK and Europe.
Ken was previously Group Financial Controller
of Gunne Estate Agents (now CBRE) and Corporate Finance Partner
with Farrell Grant Sparks, Chartered Accountants. He set up LNC
Properties in 1999 and has built up the property portfolio to a
value of over €500m (£340m).
T.G. MARSH - DIRECTOR
T.G. joined
CBT Systems (later known as the SmartForce Group) in 1983. He was
in charge of the Product Development organisation in Ireland, growing
the workforce to 500 employees. He was General Manager of the company
from 1993 until 2001, when he departed.
Since leaving SmartForce, T.G. has invested in a number of companies
in the UK and Ireland. He has extensive experience in the mentoring
and development of emerging companies.
BILL BEAMISH - DIRECTOR
Bill Beamish
created a content and technology strategy that powered CBT Systems
and played a key role in the success of the company through the development
of partnership strategies with Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle and many
others. Bill’s input ranged across the functional spectrum
from development partnerships to operations and marketing. He continues
to work with companies within the Oyster group in all of these areas.
He is currently joint CEO of Fleetmatics, the fastest
growing telematics company in the world, and the first in a new generation
of international technology companies emerging from Ireland. |
